We provide highly specialized services from CMAP, a world leader in aerial photography and data collection, which has many uses, including border dispute resolution. CM AP maintains a database of all aerial photographs of the northeastern Illinois region from 1970 to 2001. The Aerial Photo Index, a historic black and white aerial photograph taken between 1936 and 1941, with primary data from the US Aerospace Agency (NASA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado. The historic aerial map shows aerial photographs funded by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This collection includes more than 1,000 aerial photographs of the northeastern Illinois region acquired by federal and state authorities from the 1920s through the 2000s. The first issue of the Historic Aerial Photo Index from CMAP is available until November 9, 2020.

The State Library's 5 million articles include more than 1.5 million maps of Illinois counties and districts. This type of mapping covers all counties and districts that have been taxed, as well as the entire state. The Flannery Aerial Photography Collection includes more than 1.5 million aerial photographs of the state of Illinois.
